The Transfiguration: Watch and Listen
Luke 9:28-36 (Feb. 24, 2019)
Jesus went up on the mountain with his inner circle to pray.

Jesus’ transfiguration may have been similar to how Moses looked when he came down from Mt. Sinai.
Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus “in splendor” and were speaking of Jesus’ departure.
Moses represented the past, Elijah the future. Why?

Why did Peter want to celebrate the Festival of Booths while the prophets were present?

The transfiguration was a confirmation from God, something
to see, but God also told them to “listen to Him” as one would sit at the feet
of a teacher. Why was this important?
